A tragic incident occurred in Ridawa village, Kano State, where a pit used for brick-making collapsed, trapping around 10 workers underground.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning, and rescue efforts are ongoing, with locals and emergency responders working to reach those trapped.

Sani Bala, the lawmaker representing Ghari/Tsanyawa Federal Constituency, confirmed the incident and called for urgent government intervention to rescue the victims and prevent further loss of lives.

The Kano State Fire Service has not received an official report on the incident, but they are awaiting details to provide updates.

The victims were digging earth for brickmaking when the pit suddenly caved in, and it’s unclear if anyone has been rescued so far. The community is doing its best, but professional rescue support is required to prevent further loss of lives.
