Zonal executives of the All Progressives Congress have emerged across the six geopolitical zones, pledging to mobilise massive support for Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The congresses, held on Wednesday, serve as a prelude to the party’s national convention scheduled for March 27 and 28 in Abuja.
At the various congress venues, consensus voting was adopted to elect new and returning executives, with governors, lawmakers, and party leaders in attendance.

In the South-West, Dr Isaacs Kekemeke was re-elected as zonal chairman, while Victor Giadom emerged as chairman in the South-South. In the South-East, Dr Ijeoma Arodiogbu was elected to lead the zone, while Garba Babao and Idris Shuaibu emerged as leaders in the North-West and North-East, respectively.
Party leaders across the zones emphasised unity and grassroots mobilisation, expressing confidence in delivering strong electoral support for Tinubu in 2027.
In the North-Central, party stakeholders went further to adopt Tinubu as their sole presidential candidate for the next election, citing his ongoing economic reforms.
The successful conduct of the congresses signals the APC’s readiness for its upcoming national convention and preparations for the 2027 polls.
