Nigerian singer Sabi, widely known for his hit track ‘Show Your Style’, has reportedly been shot dead in Lagos State by unidentified assailants.
According to his younger brother, Kingsley, the incident occurred on Tuesday night at a hotel where Sabi, whose real name is Sabinus Chukwuebuka Nelson Obi, was staying. A group of young men allegedly stormed the premises and opened fire.
Details about the attack remain unclear, including the motive and whether any arrests have been made. Authorities have not yet released an official statement.
The Anambra State-born singer rose to fame in the early 2010s as an Afro-pop artist, gaining recognition for his catchy and danceable tunes. His hit song ‘Show Your Style’ later received a remix featuring Oritse Femi, solidifying his presence in Nigeria’s music scene.
