A lecturer at Kogi State Polytechnic, Mr. Anslem Ojodomo, has died suddenly while delivering a lecture to students.
He collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead despite efforts to save him.
This incident has thrown the school community into mourning, coming just a month after another lecturer, Dr. Barnabas Akuba, died shortly after completing his PhD programme.
Ojodomo’s death is the third in six weeks since the new Rector, Prof. Salihu Sanusi, assumed office on February 11.
Staff members are expressing concern and apprehension, noting that both Ojodomo and Akuba had recently defended their PhD theses. The management of Kogi State Polytechnic has yet to issue a statement on the incident.
