Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose held a closed-door meeting with the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, on Tuesday for about 30 minutes amid mounting political tension in Oyo State.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of Fayose’s earlier claim that Governor Seyi Makinde was allegedly planning to dethrone the monarch, as well as swirling controversy over a reported impeachment move against Makinde by the state House of Assembly said to involve the traditional institution.
