Kelechi Iheanacho scored twice to inspire Celtic F.C. to a commanding 6–2 victory over St. Mirren in their Scottish Cup semi-final clash on Sunday, sending the Glasgow side into yet another final.

The Super Eagles forward, who now has six goals this season, came off the bench to make a decisive impact as Celtic booked their place in the competition’s final for a fourth consecutive year.

Celtic had taken control of the match early, racing to a 2–0 lead in the first half through Daizen Maeda, who struck seconds after kick-off, and Anthony Ralston, who doubled the advantage just before the break.

St. Mirren, however, fought back in the second half. Mikaël Mandron reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute before striking again deep into stoppage time to force the game into extra time.

In extra time, Celtic turned the game completely in their favour. Iheanacho, introduced in the 83rd minute, put his side ahead in the 96th minute after finishing clinically to restore their lead.

The Scottish giants then overwhelmed their opponents with a burst of goals, scoring three times within five minutes to extend their advantage to 6–2. Iheanacho added his second in the 101st minute to seal the emphatic win.

No further goals were scored as Celtic comfortably saw out the remainder of the match to confirm their place in the final, where they will face Dunfermline Athletic on May 23.

After the game, Iheanacho expressed appreciation to the fans and urged continued support ahead of the final, saying the team is focused on finishing the job and lifting the trophy.
