Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice to mark his 100th appearance for Nottingham Forest, leading his side to a 3–1 victory over Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge on Monday.
Awoniyi made an immediate impact, opening the scoring within two minutes with a header from Dilane Bakwa’s cross. He later won a penalty, which Igor Jesus converted to double Forest’s lead before halftime.

The Nigerian striker completed his brace early in the second half, finishing off a low delivery from Morgan Gibbs-White to make it 3–0.

Chelsea pulled one back late on through João Pedro, whose overhead kick ended the hosts’ goal drought of over 550 minutes in the league.
The win lifts Forest’s survival hopes, as they sit 16th on the table with 42 points, six clear of the relegation zone with three matches remaining.
Awoniyi’s brace took his tally for the season to four goals in 14 appearances, despite limited playing time largely due to injuries.
