A delegation from Chelsea F.C. on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi at his palace in Lagos.
The delegation included former Super Eagles midfielder and ex-Chelsea star, Victor Moses, alongside members of the Chelsea Fans Club Nigeria.
Oba Elegushi received the visitors warmly and described the engagement as a significant moment for football, culture and international collaboration.

The monarch stressed the need for stronger partnerships between global football institutions and local communities in Nigeria, particularly in youth development.
Speaking during the visit, Oba Elegushi urged Chelsea to support local football clubs and academies across the country.
“Today, I hosted a delegation from Chelsea Football Club, UK, which also included our ex-international, Victor Moses, accompanied by Chelsea Fans Club Nigeria,” he said.

“I am honoured by the visit and I use the opportunity to inform the Chelsea team to support our local clubs and football academies, exploring partnerships that will benefit our teeming youths who want to play football.”
He thanked the delegation for the visit and wished them a memorable stay in Lagos.
The visit highlights Chelsea’s continued relationship with Nigerian football stakeholders and traditional institutions, reflecting the club’s strong following in the country.
