The Central Bank of Nigeria has reassigned all four deputy governors in a leadership reshuffle that took effect June 1, 2026, with the updated roles reflected on the apex bank’s website Monday.
According to CBN, the changes are designed to make use of senior officials’ experience in different areas and align leadership with evolving institutional priorities.
Philip Ikeazor now oversees Policy, taking over from Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi who moves to Corporate Services Directorate.
Emem Usoro shifts from Corporate Services to Operations Directorate, while Lamido Yuguda moves from Operations to Financial System Stability Directorate.
The bank says the exercise should strengthen coordination across strategic departments and better match responsibilities to current goals.
