Kingsley Chinda has resigned as minority leader of Nigeria’s House of Representatives.

Speaker Tajudeen Abbas read Chinda’s resignation letter during Tuesday’s plenary on June 2, 2026. The move comes days after Chinda emerged as the APC governorship candidate for Rivers State.
