Speaker Tajudeen Abbas told the House on Thursday that four Bauchi lawmakers have left the PDP for the Allied Peoples Movement.
The defectors are Muhammed Shehu of Zaki, Aliyu Garu of Bauchi, Sani Tanko of Shira/Giade, and Mansur Soro of Darazo/Ganjuwa federal constituencies.
They are not alone. Jeremiah Umaru from Nasarawa also quit the APC for the Social Democratic Party the same day.
This keeps up the party switching trend in the green chamber this year ahead of the general election. On Tuesday, eight PDP members moved to APM. Three APC lawmakers switched to PDP and the Nigeria Democratic Congress. Then on Wednesday, three more left APC for PRP and ADC.
