The Nigeria Police Force Zone 2 Headquarters in Lagos has expressed sorrow over the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police Salihu Khan, describing him as a disciplined and dedicated officer whose service left a lasting impact on the Force.
In a statement issued by the Zone 2 Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Afolayan Gbenga, Assistant Inspector-General of Police Olohundare Moshood Jimoh extended condolences to the Lagos State Police Command, the family of the deceased officer, and the wider police community.
Khan, who served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration at the Lagos State Police Command before his death, was described as an “exceptionally dutiful and highly professional officer.”

Jimoh said the late officer consistently demonstrated integrity, commitment, and professionalism throughout his career, noting that his death came as a shock to colleagues.
He added that Khan “embodied the finest ideals of policing” and contributed significantly to the development of the Force.
According to the AIG, officers and men of Zone 2 Command joined the Inspector-General of Police, the Lagos State Police Command, and the deceased’s family in mourning his passing.
He also prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family and asked for divine mercy for the late officer.
Police authorities said Khan’s contributions and years of service would be remembered by colleagues and those who worked closely with him.
