President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will personally lead the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for the January 2027 presidential election.
In a statement released Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the party announced its campaign council with former Zamfara Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari appointed as Director-General.
Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda will serve as vice chairmen, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma was named Secretary of the council.
President Tinubu told members to focus on selling the administration’s achievements and to work for a decisive victory.
“We have delivered on our campaign promises and set our country on a path of economic progress. We are out of the dark tunnel and approaching a period where Nigerians will begin to reap the benefits of our reforms,” he said. “Let us confidently showcase our record and defeat those who plan to take our country backwards.”
