The troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, eight rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and two magazines. Other items seized included five mobile phones — Infinix, Tecno, Samsung, Redmi, and a Tecno button phone — along with a pair of earbuds, a power bank, a Zenith Bank ATM card, a memory card, a USB cable, two head warmers, and one bag.

According to sources quoted by Makama, preliminary interrogation revealed the two were part of a group of about 10 ISWAP members who left a camp in Arinna Chiki with the intention of surrendering to authorities.

The suspects and all recovered items have been taken into custody at Headquarters Sector 3 for further action.
