Nairobi, Kenya, is currently playing host to the prestigious International Development Association, IDA21, summit organised by the World Bank.

This gathering has drawn the participation of several notable African leaders who are pivotal in shaping the future of their nations.

Among the distinguished heads of state attending the summit are President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone, President Andry Rajoelina of Madagascar, President Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.

The two-day summit holds the promise of addressing critical developmental challenges across the continent and devising strategic frameworks for fostering comprehensive, prosperous, and sustainable economies.

The IDA, an arm of the World Bank dedicated to supporting the world’s 75 most economically challenged nations, notably counts 39 African countries among its beneficiaries.

Joining the summit in Nairobi are anticipated guests including President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of Mauritania, President Azali Assoumani of Comoros, and President Évariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi.
