Nigeria Professional Football League Club side, Sporting Lagos has announced the exit of Head Coach, Paul Offor from the club.

Offor was sacked on Wednesday, leaving just eight games for Sporting Lagos in the league. The club currently sits 11th in the table, with 38 points from 30 matches, merely four points away from securing safety. In a statement posted on their website, The Lagos Based Club conveyed appreciation for Offor’s contributions, acknowledging his pivotal role in leading the team to their first-ever NPFL promotion and securing their inaugural silverware, the Naija Super 8.

Despite his achievements, the club deemed it necessary to make a change after assessing their performance this season.

The decision to sack Offor followed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Sunshine Stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday, a match that left fans dissatisfied with the team’s overall performance, particularly in home games. Former Kwara United manager, Abdullahi Biffo has been appointed to lead the team for the remainder of the season.
