Nigeria: NYCN Urges Air Peace to Begin Flight to Other Parts of Europe

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Europe Chapter has called on the Nigerian flag carrier, Air Peace airline to commence flight operations to other parts of Europe, such as France, Italy, Sweden among others.

The Governor of the council, Ambassador Collins Idahosa acknowledged that Air Peace flight to other parts of Europe will not only consolidate the Lagos-London feat, adding that it will further reduce the demand for forex and also leads to fare drops.

Idahosa said, “Having successfully obtained the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, then followed by a successful launch of the Lagos-London route a couple of months ago, we urged Air Peace’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, to consider extending this feat to other parts of Europe.

“For sustainability and consolidation, Air Peace should consider flying other international routes especially other parts of Europe such as France, Italy, Sweden, Germany among others.

Apart from the fact that it will benefit Nigerians and other nationals in other part of Europe, it will help to reduce the demand for forex.

He added that government through the Ministry of Aviation should continue to support encourage Air Peace and other local airlines that is capable showing their presence on international routes.
