Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Didi Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, effective August 14, 2024.
This was revealed according to a statement by the presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale. Mrs. Walson-Jack, appointed as a Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017, has served in various ministries. She will succeed Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, the current Head of the Civil Service, who will retire on August 13th, 2024.
President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the outgoing Head of Service for her dedicated service and encouraged the incoming Head of Service to perform her duties with innovation, integrity, and strict adherence to the Civil Service regulations.
