Nigeria’s National record holder, Temitope Adeshina missed out on making the women’s high jump final, finishing 19th overall with a height of 1.88m at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Adeshina began the competition at 1.83m, clearing it with ease. She failed her first attempt at 1.88m but succeeded on her second. However, she missed all her attempts at 1.92m, ending her Olympic debut.

Adeshina is the second Nigerian to compete in the high jump at the Olympics, following Doreen Amata, who participated in the 2008 and 2016 Olympics respectively.
