Gunmen attacked Ora, a community on the Osun-Kwara boundary, abducting a retired Customs officer, Emmanuel Owolabi, and killing a village chief, Dennis.
The incident occurred on Monday evening, with the victim’s wife, Titilayo, describing the terrifying ordeal.
She said her husband was taken from their home on Akisa Road, and the gunmen fled into the bush.
The Osun State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that additional forces have been deployed to comb the area and rescue the victim.
