President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on an official visit to Beijing, China, on Thursday, August 29, 2024. The President’s journey will include a brief layover in the United Arab Emirates before proceeding to China.
The announcement was made in a statement released by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on August 29, 2024.
During his stay in Beijing, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The visit will also feature meetings with prominent Chinese business leaders, held on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
Accompanying the President on this important trip are senior government officials, underscoring the significance of the engagements expected to take place in China.
This visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties between Nigeria and China, with discussions likely to focus on economic cooperation and investment opportunities.
