Belgium and Napoli striker, Romelu Lukaku will wear jersey number eleven amid speculations of taking Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen Number Nine jersey.
Earlier reports suggested that Lukaku, newly signed from Chelsea, would inherit the number 9 jersey after Victor Osimhen was excluded from Napoli’s squad for the season.
However, a recent post on the club’s X page features a jersey with Lukaku’s name and the number 11, leading to speculation that this might be a response to the earlier rumors or a change in plans.
Despite the switch to number 11, reports indicate that Lukaku’s decision is unrelated to the ongoing situation with Osimhen.
The Belgian striker is expected to lead the line for Antonio Conte’s side this season.
