In a show of solidarity, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has donated ₦50 million and six speedboats to the Borno State Government to assist victims of the recent devastating floods.

During a visit to Maiduguri on Thursday, Governor Fintiri personally handed over the donation to Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum.

Fintiri also appealed for increased support for the affected communities, expressing deep regret over the tragic loss of lives and property. He urged the federal government to take immediate action to address the disaster and its aftermath.

Accompanied by Governor Zulum and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor Fintiri participated in a boat tour to assess the flood’s impact and express his sympathy to displaced residents. The group’s visit was meant to draw further attention to the severity of the situation.

Governor Fintiri was joined by key members of his administration, including Secretary to the State Government, Awwal Tukur, and other officials.

The flooding in Maiduguri occurred following a spillway breach at the Alau Dam, causing widespread damage across the region.
