The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the air component of Operation Hadin Kai, conducted a successful operation against Boko Haram terrorists in Bula Marwa, Borno State, neutralizing key members of the group in two coordinated airstrikes on October 25.

In a statement released Monday, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, detailed that Bula Marwa was identified as a high-profile meeting hub for Boko Haram’s leaders. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions confirmed a spike in militant activity at the location, prompting NAF to dispatch fighter jets for an interdiction mission.

ISR footage first captured a gathering of terrorists assembling on motorcycles, leading to a targeted airstrike that disrupted their meeting. Moments later, a second ISR scan revealed militants regrouping to assess the strike’s impact and attend to the injured, which triggered a follow-up strike that neutralized additional combatants.

Further ISR scans the same day identified a secondary meeting site under a large tree where another group of terrorists had gathered. NAF air assets launched a precise airstrike, achieving a direct hit that neutralized several more militants, further dismantling Boko Haram’s operational strength in the area.
