President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Nigeria on Sunday for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit.
Hosted at the invitation of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the summit will commence on Monday, November 11, and will address pressing issues in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing Israel-Palestinian conflict.
According to a statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s speech at the summit will emphasize Nigeria’s firm call for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He will advocate for renewed international support for a two-state solution as a sustainable path to peace in the region.
Accompanying the President will be senior government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; and Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed.
After the summit, Tinubu and his delegation will return to Abuja
