Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially taken office as the 6th elected governor of Edo State. Okpebholo emerged victorious in the September 21 governorship election, defeating Barr.
Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Barr. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
Alongside him, Hon. Denise Idahosa was sworn in as the Deputy Governor.
The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the Chief Judge of Edo State, Justice Daniel Okongbowa.
