“This refund pertains to the 2023 Hajj exercise. The total amount to be disbursed is ₦95,156,680, to be shared among 1,572 pilgrims. Each pilgrim will receive ₦61,080,” Mr. Labbo stated.

The director-general added that the board’s zonal officers have been tasked with collecting bank account details from beneficiaries in their respective areas to facilitate the refunds.

“As soon as the process is complete, all eligible pilgrims will receive the specified amount in their accounts,” he assured.

This refund aims to compensate for services promised but not delivered during the Hajj, ensuring accountability and transparency in the board’s operations.
