Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved a significant reshuffle of his cabinet, resulting in the departure of five commissioners.
According to a press release by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Mukhtar Gidado, the move aims to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in the state.
The affected commissioners are:
- Commissioner of Education: Dr. Jamila Dahiru
- Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs: Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu
- Commissioner of Information and Communication: Comrade Usman Danturaki
- Commissioner of Agriculture: Professor Simon Madugu Yalams
- Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation: Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza
Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners, acknowledging their contributions to the state’s growth and development. He commended their dedication and efforts, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
Meanwhile, Governor Mohammed has forwarded the names of eight new nominees for security clearance and subsequent confirmation by the Bauchi State House of Assembly. The nominees are:
- Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde: Toro Local Government
- Abdullahi Mohammed: Misau Local Government
- Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi: Dass Local Government
- Usman Usman Shehu: Shira Local Government
- Iliyasu Aliyu Gital: Tafawa Balewa Local Government
- Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah: Tafawa Balewa Local Government
- Hon Adamu Babayo Gabarin: Darazo Local Government
- Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam: Toro Local Government
Governor Mohammed reassured the people of Bauchi State that the reshuffle is part of a routine effort to enhance the administration’s effectiveness, emphasizing his commitment to fulfilling his mandate and ensuring sustained progress for the state.
