Shikwambana confirmed that the nurses returned safely in the morning and shared the details of their traumatic experiences. “MEC Mashego has expressed her profound shock and deep sorrow over this horrific incident involving our two nurses at Ga-Chuene Clinic.

She described the attack as both barbaric and a setback to the department’s efforts to provide 24-hour clinic operations. Police have been called to investigate the scene, and the two nurses are receiving psychological support,” Shikwambana stated.

Authorities are actively investigating the incident, and efforts are underway to ensure the safety and security of healthcare workers in the area.
