Nigerian midfielder, Daniel Daga has completed a move to Norwegian Eliteserien side FK Molde on a three-year contract from FC ONE Rocket.
The 18-year-old, who recently played a key role in helping Enyimba reach the CAF Confederation Cup group stage during his loan spell, has already started training with his new team.

Molde’s CEO, Øystein Neerland, expressed his excitement about securing the young talent’s signature. “We are very happy to bring in an exciting and talented player from Nigeria,” Neerland told the club’s official website. “Daniel already has top-tier experience in Nigeria and is regarded as a great talent. We look forward to supporting his development here in Molde and helping him take the next steps in his career.”

Daga, originally from Benue, rose through the ranks at Carabana Football Academy before making his debut for FC ONE Rocket’s first team during the 2021/22 Nigeria National League season.

His mentor and the president of FC ONE Rocket, Nse Essien, who discovered Daga as a schoolboy, celebrated the transfer on social media, writing, “CONGRATULATIONS SON… LET’S GO MOLDE.”
A versatile player, Daga can operate as a defensive midfielder, central midfielder, or even in central defense. He has represented Nigeria at various youth levels, winning the 2022 WAFU B tournament, and has featured in both the U-20 AFCON and the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Daga could make his debut for Molde, who finished second in the Eliteserien last season, in Tuesday’s friendly match against Træff at the Aker Stadion.
