President Bola Tinubu has arrived back in Abuja after attending the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The summit, held from January 27 to 28, brought together African leaders, private sector representatives, development partners, and civil society groups to discuss strategies for accelerating energy access across the continent.
During the summit, President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to universal energy access and its leadership role in Africa’s energy sector.
He also endorsed the Dar es Salaam Energy Declaration, a roadmap for Africa’s progress in achieving energy access goals.
The president was accompanied by senior government officials, including Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, and Special Adviser to the President on Energy Olu Verheijen.
Upon his return to Abuja, President Tinubu was received by senior government officials, including Femi Gbajabiamila, his chief of staff, Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser, and Bello Matawale, minister of state defense.
