The remains of South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldiers who lost their lives in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are being repatriated to South Africa.
The remains were transported from Goma, DRC, across the Rwanda-DRC border, and then to Uganda via the Cyanika border.
The United Nations facilitated the transport, which crossed the La Corniche border post at noon.
The remains are expected to arrive in South Africa tonight via air transport from Uganda.
