A frightening incident occurred on Tuesday evening when gunmen abducted students outside the campus of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University in Makurdi, Benue State.

According to eyewitnesses, four students were taken by the gunmen, leaving the university community in a state of panic.

The university’s spokesperson, Lubem, confirmed the incident, stating that the students were kidnapped outside the campus, and there has been no contact with them since.

“Everyone is in a panic mood because of the incident,” Lubem added.

However, the Benue Police Public Relations Officer, Sewuese Anene, reported that the police only received information about two students being kidnapped.

Anene assured that an investigation has commenced, and more details will be provided soon.
