Somali security forces, in collaboration with international partners, have successfully eliminated more than 40 members of the Islamist al-Shabaab armed group in an operation in Hirshabelle state.

The operation, which took place in the Biya Cadde area, is part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
