In a coordinated military operation in Borno State, Nigerian troops have eliminated a top Boko Haram commander, Abba Alai, also known as the Amirul Khahid of Alafa.
The operation targeted insurgent hideouts in Garin Fallujah and Gwoza, following intelligence reports of planned attacks.
During the assault, security forces recovered weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies.
Additionally, an elderly woman held hostage for 10 years was rescued.
