Further operations in the Qandala mountains aimed to dismantle ISIS positions, according to Puntland defense officials.

A day earlier, on Saturday, Puntland Defense Forces launched an offensive in the Buqo-Aleed area, successfully capturing ISIS headquarters in the mountains, along with vehicles, wells, and strategic positions held by the group since 2017.

These operations mark a significant step in Puntland’s ongoing efforts to eliminate militant threats and restore stability in the region.
