A Nigerian police officer, reportedly intoxicated, shot and killed an unarmed man identified as Sani in the Angwan-Kaje area of Maitumbi, Minna, Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Monday, with witnesses stating that the officer began shooting recklessly, targeting Sani and a tea seller, Mai Shayi, who managed to escape.
The Niger State Command has confirmed the incident and launched an investigation to identify the officer responsible.
