A suspected kidnapper, identified as 25-year-old Buba Isa from Gadarma Village in Chibok Local Government Area, was shot dead by local vigilantes at Mbalala Market while resisting arrest.

The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday after the suspect’s father, Isa, alerted vigilantes about his son’s presence in the market.

According to intelligence sources, when confronted, Buba Isa drew a cutlass and attempted to attack the vigilantes. In the ensuing struggle, he was neutralized while trying to flee the scene.

The vigilantes acted swiftly to prevent further escalation, highlighting ongoing community efforts to combat kidnapping and criminal activities in the region.
