The bodies of three South African police officers, who had been missing for six days, were discovered in a river near Johannesburg.
Constable Boipelo Senoge, 20, Cebekhulu Linda, 24, and Keamogetswe Buys, 30, were last seen leaving a petrol station on Wednesday.
Divers found their bodies in the Hennops river, along with two other individuals, including a police admin clerk.
The police are still searching for the officers’ vehicle, a white VW Polo.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths are unclear, and the police are investigating.
The discovery has sparked an outpouring of grief, with loved ones gathering at the riverbank, holding candles.
