The Speaker of the local government council, Hon. Sabo Yusuf Usman, confirmed the incident, stating the attackers fled with the secretary before security operatives could respond.

The motive behind the abduction is unclear, and security agencies have yet to issue an official statement.

Kibiya LGA has been relatively peaceful, but neighboring areas have witnessed bandit attacks, raising concerns about insecurity spreading to calm communities.
