The Federal Government has declared Thursday, May 1, 2025, a public holiday to commemorate Workers’ Day.
Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo commended Nigerian workers for their diligence and sacrifice, recognizing their efforts as crucial to the country’s growth.
Tunji-Ojo emphasized the importance of peace in driving industrialization and economic growth, urging workers to adopt a culture of innovation and productivity.
He encouraged workers to raise their professional standards, which would, in turn, improve governance and enable citizens to benefit maximally from the nation’s resources.
The minister assured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to securing lives and property, while also urging citizens to remain hopeful under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
