Three members of the House of Representatives from Katsina State have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the good work of the current governor of Katsina State as a major reason for their decision.

The lawmakers, representing Mashi/Dutsi, Batsari/Safana/Danmusa, and Bakori/Danja federal constituencies, attributed their defection to internal crises within the PDP.

This latest development strengthens the APC’s numerical advantage in the House of Representatives and further weakens the PDP’s influence in Katsina State.

The defections may also embolden others contemplating a similar move, especially amid ongoing internal PDP factional crises.
