Olufemi Soneye, the Group Chief Communications Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), has resigned from his position.
In a statement, Soneye cited the need to devote more time to his family and attend to personal responsibilities as the reason for his resignation.
He expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their support and professionalism during his 20-month tenure.
Soneye described his experience at NNPC as “profound” and stated that he would remain a steadfast supporter and ambassador of the company.
He encouraged his colleagues to continue their robust and balanced reportage in support of the company’s mission and strategic role in Nigeria’s energy future.
