The suspended officials have also been barred from signing any official documents during the period. Commissioners were further instructed to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.

“The Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has directed that the underlisted government functionaries proceed on a one-month working suspension without salary for failure to attend an important government function,” the statement read.

Uzor added that the governor remains committed to enforcing discipline, accountability, and high standards of public service in his administration.

This move underscores Governor Nwifuru’s intention to instill a culture of responsibility and dedication among state officials in delivering public services to the people of Ebonyi.
