President Bola Tinubu has appointed Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, the Deputy Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), as the new substantive Controller-General of the Service.
The appointment, effective from August 14, 2025, follows the imminent retirement of the outgoing Controller-General, Engr. Abdulganiyu Jaji Olola, on August 11, 2025, upon attaining the age of 60.
Adeyemi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having transferred his service from the FCT Fire Service to the Federal Fire Service and grown to the rank of Deputy Controller-General of Fire.
He has attended and passed all mandatory in-service trainings, command courses, and other courses within and outside the country.
The newly appointed CG is also a member/fellow of several professional associations, including the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management of Nigeria.
