Chad Severs Ties with Prince Harry’s Wildlife Charity Over Poaching Concerns

The Chadian government has terminated its 15-year partnership with African Parks, a conservation organization led by Prince Harry, citing the charity’s failure to curb poaching and alleged arrogant and disrespectful attitude towards the government.

Environment Minister Hassan Bakhit Djamous stated that African Parks showed a “recurring indelicate and disrespectful attitude toward the government” and failed to cooperate fully with authorities.

The charity, which manages two wildlife reserves in Chad, including the Ennedi Natural and Cultural Reserve and the Greater Zakouma Ecosystem, has begun talks with the ministry to explore the best way forward to support conservation efforts.

This decision comes amid Prince Harry’s recent scandalous exit from Sentebale, a charity he founded.
