Dr. Christopher Kolade, a highly respected Nigerian diplomat, broadcaster, academic, and corporate leader, has passed away at the age of 92.
Born on December 28, 1932, in Erin-Oke, Osun State, Kolade had a distinguished career spanning multiple fields, including broadcasting, corporate leadership, and diplomacy.
He served as Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria, and Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom from 2002 to 2007.
Kolade was a strong advocate for ethical leadership and governance, contributing significantly to leadership development through teaching and mentoring at institutions like the Lagos Business School.
His legacy is marked by his commitment to integrity, ethical leadership, and service to Nigeria.
Throughout his career, Kolade received numerous awards and honors, including the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and the Order of St. Augustine medal.
