Iran and Kenya have announced plans to enhance cooperation in environmental fields, with a focus on preserving wildlife, forests, and combating climate change.
The head of Iran’s parliament’s environment fraction, Somayeh Rafiei, met with Kenya’s Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, Deborah Mlongo Barasa, on the sidelines of the 37th Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol in Nairobi.
The two countries will explore ways to boost environmental interactions, including empowering and training women, and have agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on environmental cooperation.
This move aims to address global environmental challenges, such as climate change, and promote sustainable development.
