Former Abia State Governor, Senator Theodore Ahamefule Orji, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after over a decade in the party.

Orji, who served as governor from 2007 to 2015 and represented Abia Central in the Senate from 2015 to 2023, cited consultations with family and associates as the reason for his departure.
