Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has directed all public and private secondary schools to immediately deboard their students due to rising insecurity across the country.
The order, issued by Commissioner for Education Dr. Augustina Godwin, aims to protect students from potential threats, citing recent abductions in Kebbi and Niger states.
Schools will now operate strictly as day schools until further notice, with principals and school owners instructed to remove boarding arrangements without delay.
The government reassures parents of its commitment to restoring safety and will work closely with security agencies to address the situation.
